Fedora Core 4硬盘安装方法-红联Linux系统门户

我的C盘已装了WinXP(10G),D盘20G,还有10G的空余用来装FC4,最好在XP下用管理工具把空
间留好.
把四张光盘映象直接放到D:\(其它盘也行,文件系统一定要是FAT32格式的,不能是NTFS格式
,否则安装的时会找不到iso镜像,放在根目录是为了方便)
可以了解一下Grub
for Dos,
并下载这个软件包,下载地址很多,Google一下就可以了.将软件包解压在C:\,产生生一个文
件夹,方便起见直接将里面的文件复制到上级目录,也就是C:\.
我们修改一下boot.ini这个文件,使开机时多一个启动项.直接在后面追加C:\grldr="GRUB
For Dos"就可以了.其中grldr文件就是刚才我们从Grub for Dos软件包解压出来的.
例如:

下面将第一张光盘的isolinux目录解压,文件夹isolinux放在C:\.里面有vmlinuxz和initr
d.img两个文件.
修改grub for dos的主菜单,修改文件是C:\boot\grub\menu.lst,后面追加安装FC4的映象
:
title Install FC4
kernel (hd0,0)/isolinux/vmlinuz
initrd (hd0,0)/isolinux/initrd.img
保存退出.重启系统,看到Grub for Dos,选择进入,再从它的菜单项中选择Install FC4.到
安装程序询问安装介质时选择从硬盘安装(其他还有光盘,网络),选择映象所在的/dev/hda
6(这是我的),接下来就安提示一步步安装,跟从光盘安装无异.
这里再说说安装时的分区.我刚开始安装Linux时在这里吃了不少苦头.首先我们选择要安装
系统的分区,如果显示不是空闲(free),就点击删除(Delete)按钮.选择这个空闲分区,点击
新建按钮,新建一个交换区,文件类型swap,大小固定,是你物理内存大小的2倍就可以了.再
新建一个分区,选择挂载点(mount)/boot,文件类型ext3.最后是新建/挂载,文件类型ext3,
大小我选的是用完所有剩余空闲空间.一般分区都是这样的,当然你也可以再新建其他分区
,比如用作服务器的话,可能有/home单独的挂载.
安装完之后,发现系统不识别我的显示器,最高的分辨率也只有800x600,以前在CRT我都用这
个分辨率,在RH9下看起来很柔和;但在我的LCD中这个分辨率太模糊了,一块一块的.网上看
到许多修改配置文件更改分辨率的帖子.挺麻烦的.不知道是不是FC4的新特性,在装完重新
引导系统后,来到用户配置更改分辨率那一页时,点击"配置..."菜单,选择Generic LCD Di
splay下的LCD Panel 1024x768,再点开分辨率选择项就有1024x768这一项了.我估计其他的
CRT显示器也是可以的.也可以在进入系统后,选择桌面-系统设置-显示,来配置显示器类型。
