2016年4月，ubuntu发布了最新的16.04版，但是中兴AC8710，电信3G上网卡无法在此系统里使用。
插入此网卡后,lsusb命令未能发现此卡,无法联网.但此卡在其他电脑上(lubuntu 14.04LTS)曾经可以正常上网,故判断应该是驱动的问题.
[解决问题过程]
1.在http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/#download,下载3个文件到一个空目录:
1-1.usb-modeswitch-2.2.5.tar.bz2
1-2.usb-modeswitch-data
1-3.device_reference.txt
2.在新立得软件包管理器里,搜索,安装:
libusb-1.0-0
libusb-1.0-0-dev
libusb-1.0-0-dbg
libjim-0.74
libjim-dev
3.到下载文件的空目录,解压usb-modeswitch-2.2.5.tar.bz2 后，打开终端。
$cd usb-modeswitch-2.2.5 #进入“usb-modeswitch-2.2.5”目录。
$sudo make
$sudo make install-shared #安装软件
$gedit device_reference.txt #打开文件,并搜索"ac8710",拷贝以下内容,并退出.

4.$sudo gedit /etc/usb_modeswitch.conf #打开配置文件,并把上述拷贝的内容修改后,粘贴到文末,红色是修改部分,如下.保存退出.

AC8710也有适用其他运营商网络的产品，上述修改部分就是适用于中国电信CDMA系统3G网络的，其他网络的可以在No1,No3里选一个试用，同时屏蔽其余二部分，即可。
5.重启电脑,插上USB无线上网卡.上网卡红灯熄灭后,终端 lsusb,此时可见:

电脑已经认出usb,modem.
6.点击网络图标-"编辑连接-'添加-移动宽带-中国-chine telecom-应用",回到"网络连接".
选择"china-telecom connection",点击右侧"编辑",如图设置即可.
7.网络图标菜单里,点击"china-telecom connection",上网卡马上拨号上网!
8.但是上网后发现有一个小遗憾，屏幕右上角的信号图标，和其他信号不一样，没有信号强弱的标示。不过，这并不影响上网！
