在Ubuntu16.04中安装Kermit的方法有两种：apt-get安装和源码编译安装，下面分别这两种方法进行说明。
1、apt-get安装
可以通过面的命令安装Kermit。
sudo apt-get install ckermit
1.1、配置
通过上述方法安装好ckermit后，将会生成配置文件/etc/kermit/kermic，其内容如下：

上述第2行内容如下：
It is executed on startup if ~/.kermrc is not found.
可见，Kermit会优先找~/.kermic配置文件，找不到才找/etc/kermit/kermic，为了避免修改/etc/kermit/kermic，可以在~中创建.kermic，然后输入如下配置信息：

set carrier-watch off
set handshake none
set flow-control none
robust
set file type bin
set file name lit
set rec pack 1000
set send pack 1000
